Without a win in 2017 and having picked up only two points from their last seven fixtures, the Cherries are falling like a stone and are now just four points above the relegation zone.
With Hull, Swansea, Crystal Palace and now even Leicester looking much-improved under new managers that’s an uncomfortable margin and Eddie Howe has admitted his side are in a relegation scrap.
There are only nine points up for grabs this month – beginning with a very difficult trip to Old Trafford – but the winnable nature of the next two games at home to West Ham and Swansea make it a crucial one for Howe who must be targeting six points from the three matches.

The Cherries can’t secure their survival this month, but they can stop the slide and put some distance between themselves and the drop zone. If they don’t, they are in serious trouble.
