Wilshere joined The Cherries on a season-long loan from Arsenal in an effort to get a regular run of games and prove his fitness.

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has suggested the club could attempt to sign Jack Wilshere on a permanent basis after his season-long loan according to the Evening Standard.
The midfielder is on loan at The Cherries from Arsenal after being told by Arsene Wenger he was no longer an automatic pick in the Gunners’ XI, with the Englishman made available on deadline day.
After biding his time with a few substitute appearances, Wilshere made his first start under Eddie Howe in the 1-0 win over Everton earning good reviews at the Vitality Stadium.

Despite his injury-ravaged career, the 24-year-old has been given the chance to shine on the South Coast by helping Bournemouth improve on their 16th place finish last season and play his way back into the Arsenal reckoning.
But it appears Cherries chairman Jeff Mostyn has other plans by admitting he hopes to sign Wilshere on a permanent basis once his loan spell comes to an end, but concedes it would be difficult to tempt him away from the Emirates a place he has called home since he was nine.
“The best we can do is integrate Jack into the team and help him fulfil what he wants,” he said in the Standard. “Whether or not we will go beyond a season, I think everything is possible.
“You have to be realistic and Jack may well consider his home to be back at Arsenal. If that was the case then we couldn’t disagree with his decision – and the decision will be his.

“But if there is a possibility and Eddie Howe decides that he’s somebody he wants to keep it will be up to him.”
It would be some coup for Bournemouth to pull off the signing of Wilshere, with the player still highly regarded by Arsene Wenger back in North London.
However, Wilshere is in danger of stagnating with Granit Xhaka, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey ahead of him in the Arsenal pecking order and he’s no longer in prodigy territory.
Although a permanent stay in Dorset is unlikely given Bournemouth’s precarious position in the Premier League after just a season in the top flight, Wilshere knows he’s facing a fight to force his way back into The Gunners’ fold and could put his England career in jeopardy without a regular run of games.
But should his form help Bournemouth thrive and finish comfortably away from the relegation zone, he may just be able to play his way back into Wenger’s plans.
