There can be no doubting what West Ham United’s transfer priority has to be now; they must sign a striker.
The Hammers only had two senior strikers entering the transfer window, but then took the surprise decision to sell Sebastien Haller last week.
Haller has moved on to Ajax, and West Ham must now try to bring in a replacement before the January window slams shut.
A host of names have already been linked with West Ham, and you can expect many more to be suggested in the coming weeks.
One of the names suggested is Stade de Reims ace Boulaye Dia, with agent Frederic Guerra telling Le10 Sport that he spoken ‘a lot’ with West Ham.
Dia, 24, has hit 12 goals in 17 Ligue 1 games this season, and the Senegalese international could end up heading to East London to replace Haller.

He’s big and strong, but also able to run in behind, and that’s something that West Ham may find appealing having struggled to maximise Haller’s potential.
Dia has now told Telefoot that leaving is just as likely as staying this month, and is only thinking of Reims right now, meaning he isn’t particularly angling for a move to West Ham – at least publicly anyway.
“I could leave as much as I could stay,” said Dia. “The month is very long, I am focused on Stade de Reims, I only think of that – I do not control anything off the pitch. I am very happy in Reims, it is a beautiful family,” he added.
