The Huddersfield Town head coach Carlos Corberan has admitted that Karlan Grant could leave the club amid reports linking the striker with West Bromwich Albion.

The Birmingham Mail claimed earlier this week that West Brom are considering a new bid for Grant, having had a £16 million offer rejected already.

The 22-year-old scored 19 goals in 43 Championship games for Huddersfield last season, including one against the Baggies.

But speaking to Yorkshire Live earlier, Corberan suggested he is looking to life after both Grant and another Huddersfield striker, Steve Mounie.

“They have been training with us, but there is interest in both from other clubs, and it is possible that they will leave,” said the newly-appointed Spaniard.

“We accept this.

“Tomorrow (Huddersfield’s EFL Cup tie against Rochdale) I want to give more minutes to players I think will be in the squad for the year.”

West Brom completed the signing of centre-back Cedric Kipre from Wigan Athletic on Friday, and could now focus their attention on additions at the opposite end of the pitch.

It is being widely reported that last season’s loan star, Grady Diangana, will return to the Hawthorns from West Ham United in a deal worth a reported £18 million.

Should Grant also arrive, it is possible that the likes of Oliver Burke and Kenneth Zohore could leave West Brom amid reports linking the pair with other clubs.
