The exciting youngster would surely be an instant hit at Liverpool.
Reds star Philippe Coutinho seems to be edging closer and closer to the Anfield exit door, and if he does eventually leave the club this summer, there will be plenty of Liverpool fans who will be bitterly disappointed to see the back of the Brazilian.
One of Jürgen Klopp’s reported transfer targets, however, would help Liverpool fans forget about the mercurial 25-year-old in a hurry.
The Merseyside outfit have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund superstar-in-the-making Christian Pulisic, according to the Sun, with Klopp ready to spend in excess of £30 million on the American, should Coutinho eventually leave.
Christian Pulisic in action for Borussia Dortmund
The 18-year-old showcased his sensational talent in Germany last season on a consistent basis, scoring three goals and chipping in with six assists in 29 Bundesliga outings for Dortmund.
He is incredibly versatile, and can play anywhere along the midfield, but is arguably most effective when deployed on either wing or in the number 10 role.
Pulisic possesses all of the attributes needed to replace Coutinho. He is as quick with his feet as he is with his brain, and he has wonderful vision.
The Dortmund star is also seven years younger than the Brazilian, which is quite incredible to comprehend, considering how advanced the American already is.
And if Klopp manages to bring him to Anfield for somewhere in the region of the £30 million that has been reported, it would surely turn out to be a magnificent acquisition for Liverpool, and one that would quickly help Reds fans to forget about Coutinho.
