The teenage talent would be an outstanding signing for Everton.

Ronald Koeman’s squad overhaul at Goodison Park is well and truly underway, with the Dutchman having already spent well in excess of £100 million so far this summer.

There is a sense that he isn’t quite finished just yet, however, as he looks to add a real statement signing to his ranks.

If Everton truly want to challenge for major honours this season, they need to prove their ambition with one more blockbuster signing, and with that in mind, they should make a major play for Borussia Dortmund’s superstar-in-the-making Christian Pulisic.

The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last term in the Bundesliga, displaying his exceptional talent on a regular basis, scoring three goals and registering six assists in 29 league outings, with nearly half of those appearances coming from the substitutes bench.

The United States international is a wonderful talent, and the Blues could really announce themselves in Europe with a move for him.

He can play anywhere along the front-line, although he is arguably at his most effective when deployed in the number 10 slot, just behind the lone striker.

For someone so young, Pulisic displays incredibly levels of maturity when playing, and conducts himself in a manner that defies his tender years.

The American teen would add another dimension to the Blues’ attacking play, and his guile and nouse in and around the 18-yard box would surely add to Everton’s potency in front of goal.

Last summer, Stoke City made an offer of £17.5 million for the then 17-year-old star, which was swiftly rejected by Dortmund, according to German media outlet Bild.

He would obviously be worth quite considerably more than that this summer, and if the Toffees were to tempt the Bundesliga side into selling him, they would have to offer a huge amount.

Pulisic would be worth every penny though, irrelevant of how much it would take to bring him to Merseyside, and he would be an incredible addition to Koeman’s squad.
