Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League opponents Borussia Dortmund have received an injury scare ahead of the upcoming last 16 matches.

Attacking midfielder Marco Reus limped off at half-time of their cup clash against Werder Bremen last night.

Reus walked off holding his thigh, Sport1 reported, and was substituted at half-time.

The extent of Reus’ injury is unclear, but evidently Dortmund were concerned enough to remove him from action immediately to get it checked out.

Reus had scored Dortmund’s goal from a free-kick, continuing a superb run of form.

The German international has scored 13 goals in 19 Bundesliga games this season, and provided six assists.

It is already his best season since 2013/14. He is Dortmund’s top goalscorer this season.

Dortmund losing Reus for the Tottenham game on February 13 would be a major blow.

Tottenham meanwhile are hoping to welcome back star striker Harry Kane, with The Sun reporting he could make a surprise early comeback from injury.
