The 20-year-old United States winger, who is believed to be on the radar of Liverpool, appears to have left the door open for a January move.
Christian Pulisic is believed to be one of the most sought-after youngsters in world football right now.
The American winger joined Borussia Dortmund as a 16-year-old in 2015 and has made 107 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, scoring 15 goals.
Pulisic was given the honour of captaining the United States in Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Italy in Belgium, a sign that the 20-year-old indeed could go on to be indispensable for club and country.
The question is, will the club in question be Dortmund or another team in Europe?
According to a report in The Mirror from earlier this week, Pulisic has already told his club teammates that he sees his future in England, further fuelling speculation of Liverpool and Chelsea potentially making a move.
Following the defeat to the four-time world champions in Genk, the Pennsylvania native was interviewed by American outlet NBC Sports and did not rule out a January move away from the Westfalenstadion.
“I’m still focused on Dortmund. We are doing great this season,” said Pulisic.
“Once the break comes [in January], that is always when I will have to discuss with Dortmund and see about my future.”
Michael Zorc, the Bundesliga club’s sporting director, has gone on record to state that Pulisic will not be given the green light to leave until at least the end of the season.
However, now that the player himself has not ruled out a departure during the winter transfer window, there will most likely be scouts monitoring the situation very carefully.
