Middlesbrough are lining up a move for Bristol City defender Aden Flint, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Birmingham City have had a couple of bids rejected for Flint with Bristol City reluctant to sell the defender unless their asking price is met.

Now Middlesbrough are ready to join the chase for Flint as Boro boss Garry Monk looks to bolster his defensive options before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
