HITC Sport understands that Boro are close on a double deal, while Crystal Palace are nearing a loan signing and two Championship sides are battling for a Riverside forward.
Middlesbrough are closing in on permanent deals for Patrick Bamford and Bojan, HITC Sport understands.
HITC Sports revealed Boro had stepped up their interest in both Bamford and Bojan last week and now talks have progressed on both deals over the weekend.
Bamford’s deal was all but agreed earlier this month between Boro and Chelsea, but The Blues had to exercise their recall option as the player was still on loan at Burnley.
Once Burnley had confirmed to Chelsea that Bamford was not in their plans, they recalled him – allowing the Boro deal to progress.
Norwich’s Patrick Bamford
HITC Sport understands that Boro will pay around £4million to re-sign Bamford, who enjoyed a brilliant spell with them back in 2015 – finishing with 19 goals and being crowned Championship Player of the Year.
Loan deals at Crystal Palace and Norwich followed, but things have not worked out – but Aitor Karanka is a huge fan and he has persuaded Boro’s chiefs to push ahead with a move for the 23-year-old and he should complete a deal in the next 48 hours.
Bamford will likely be followed into the club by Spanish international forward Bojan – who Boro first enquired about last month, and since then he has fallen out with Stoke boss Mark Hughes, who will not be standing in his way.
Stoke City’s Bojan Krkic celebrates scoring their first goal
HITC Sport understands that Boro and Stoke are close to finalising a deal which will be for an initial £8million for the 26-year-old.
With Bamford and Bojan due to arrive, there will still be some departures from the club with Stewart Downing in talks over a move to Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.
Jordan Rhodes is also set to leave with Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa battling for his services.
