Glasgow Rangers defender Borna Barisic has already been called back into the national team following his move to Ibrox.

Barisic has quickly turned himself into a very popular player at Ibrox following his summer move from Osijek. The left-back has already established himself as a key man for Steven Gerrard’s side and has been rewarded with a place in Croatia’s squad for their games with Portugal and Spain.
And ahead of the fixtures, Barisic insisted that his Gers teammate Katic has also done enough to make the team, suggesting that the defender is perhaps unlucky to miss out on a spot.
“Yes, I think so,” he told Rangers TV when asked whether Katic should have been included. “He has very big potential, he is a very good player, so I think so, yes.”

Like Barisic, Katic has made an extremely bright start to life with Rangers. The centre-back has formed a superb partnership with Connor Goldson and the Gers look significantly more solid at the back than they did last year.
The 21-year-old made his Croatia bow in May 2017, but has not received a cap since. But if he continues to perform as he has done so far, there seems to be no reason why Katic cannot join his Rangers teammate in the national team squad once again.
And if the pair can establish themselves in a Croatia team that reached the World Cup final earlier this year, then that would undoubtedly be a superb statement for Rangers that may help them when it comes to trying to convince potential transfer targets to join.
