Rangers will be missing Borna Barisic this weekend.

Rangers defender Borna Barisic has told the Daily Record that he will be forced to skip the Old Firm derby this weekend due to injury.
The Gers are back in action against Celtic this weekend, with the third Old Firm derby of the season ultimately set to decide whether there’s any lingering chance of a title race.
Rangers will be pleased that Alfredo Morelos has come through the international break with Colombia unscathed, but the same can’t be said for Barisic.
The left back headed off with Croatia for games against Azerbaijan and Hungary, but was substituted in the second game with an injury.
Barisic has endured a couple of niggling issues throughout the season, with many left frustrated by the 26-year-old’s stop-start season.
Now, Barisic has confirmed that he has an injury in his left leg and will miss at least two weeks, meaning he will miss Sunday’s big game.

Barisic admitted that he’s sorry that he has to skip the clash in order to focus on his recovery, sharing his displeasure at again missing a game against Celtic having been ruled out in December too.
“It’s the same injury I had before on my left leg and I will miss a minimum of two weeks,” said Barisic. “I’m sorry that I will have to skip the big derby with Celtic. Unfortunately, it’s not the first time I have had to miss the biggest match in Scotland either. Now I have to focus on recovery,” he added.
Barisic’s absence means Andy Halliday will be given the nod at left back, and he’ll be looking to replicate his superb performance at Ibrox, this time at Parkhead.
