According to WA.de, Borussia Dortmund are unlikely to sign reported Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Milot Rashica this summer.

The Kosovo international winger is expected to move on this summer.

Liverpool have been accredited with a strong interest in Rashica (Deichstube), while Wolves and West Ham United have also been linked (Der Spiegel).

Rashica has a release clause of £33 million in his contract. That figure could be even lower if Werder Bremen suffer relegation from the Bundesliga this term.

But Dortmund are unlikely to sign him regardless. WA claim finances are tight due to the Covid-19 virus, while the club’s sports director Michael Zorc went one further.

“There will be no boom year. We are holding back. We are looking at where we can reduce costs for the coming season,” Zorc explained.

The Bundesliga restarts this weekend. Many eyes will be fixed on Rashica.

The 23-year-old has posted seven goals and four assists in 20 Bundesliga games this season. His form is even more impressive considering Bremen’s struggles.

Liverpool could see him as an ideal player to push Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

The Reds may have dominated the Premier League this year. Manager Jurgen Klopp, however, will refuse to let Liverpool stand still and the club will look to strengthen.

Wolves, on the other hand, may see Rashica as a player to help push them on. The West Midlands club will target another European spot next season.
