The Tottenham striker is being backed for success by some punters.
Harry Kane is odds on to win the Premier League Golden Boot with Tottenham Hotspur – and 18/1 to finish top scorer at Euro 2016, according to Ladbrokes.com.
Richard Marsh of Ladbrokes News said: “Kane has been in sensational form for club and country and England fans fancy his chances of landing a history-making double.”
Premier League 2015/16 Golden Boot
Harry Kane – 1/3
Jamie Vardy – 6/1
Romelu Lukaku – 8/1
Sergio Aguero – 9/1
Euro 2016 Golden Boot
Thomas Muller – 7/1
Cristiano Ronaldo – 8/1
Karim Benzema – 10/1
Antoine Griezmann – 11/1
Robert Lewandowski – 11/1
Olivier Giroud – 14/1
Romelu Lukaku – 16/1
Harry Kane – 18/1
It’s interesting to see Lukaku rated slightly higher than the Spurs forward when it comes to the Euro 2016 tally.
But that could have more to do with the fact Belgium are rated higher than England in terms of competition success.
Kane – and also Jamie Vardy – have shown that playing for England doesn’t dwarf them. The Tottenham and Leicester strikers are currently achieving the same success at international level as they are for their club.
Can Kane, then, make history at both White Hart Lane and for the Three Lions?
