Could West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion makes moves for the Iceland star this month?
West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion are listed among the favourites to sign Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson in January, with bookmaker Bet Victor.
Neither club have been formally linked with the Icaland star in recent months, but feature behind only Everton (3/1) with odds of 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.
Despite Swansea’s collective failings, Sigurdsson has once again proved the Welsh side’s standout performer – scoring five goals and creating another six in 20 Premier League outings this season.

And with West Ham and West Brom both thought to be in the market for midfielders this month, the pair could look to take advantage of the Swans precarious position at the bottom end of the table.
West Ham have been linked with moves for Nemanja Maksimovic, Luka Milivojevic and Taulant Xhaka in recent weeks, however, Sigurdsson is perhaps a more desirable target given his experience in England’s top flight.
The Iceland star would not come cheap for that reason, although it is unlikely that either the Hammers or West Brom – who are said to be in the running for £20-million-rated Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin – would struggle to meet Swansea’s demands.

Middlesbrough (5/1), Roma and Stoke City (both 6/1) are the other main contenders, according to Bet Victor.
