Wolverhampton Wanderers have been heavily linked with a move for Marshall, however, could Swansea City rival them to the winger’s signature?
Bookmakers Bet Victor have installed Swansea City as 6/4 joint-favourites to sign Blackburn Rovers winger Ben Marshall this month.
The BBC reports that Marshall, who is out of contract in June, won’t feature for Blackburn in Saturday’s encounter with Birmingham City, after the club received a bid from Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Blackburn’s Ben Marshall
Wolves, whose new boss Paul Lambert managed Marshall at Blackburn last season, are long-term admirers of the 25-year-old, and were linked with a move during the summer transfer window.
It is little surprise, then, that the Molineux side are also priced at 6/4 on Bet Victor’s list – although Swansea are yet to be credited with an interest in the Manchester United product, making their status as joint-favourites intriguing to say the least.
The Premier League strugglers recently appointed Paul Clement as manager, and have experienced a busy transfer window so far, bringing in Luciano Narsingh, Martin Olsson and Tom Carroll.

However, with interest in Wayne Routledge, Swansea may be tempted to move for Marshall too, especially given the Salfordian’s ability to double up as a right full-back.
Lambert has already reunited with a former player at Wolves this window, signing former Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann from Derby County.
Does this mean Wolverhampton Wanderers have competition for Marshall?
