The bookies believe that Middlesbrough and Aston Villa have the best chance of winning the Championship this season, ahead of Fulham and Norwich City.

Following the release of the fixture list for the 2017/18 Championship season, popular bookmakers SkyBET have released the odds for the outright winners of England’s second tier.

This upcoming campaign is likely to be one of the most competitive since the Championship’s inception in 2004, with a whole host of massive clubs set to take part in this season’s competition, including the likes of Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and many more.

And SkyBET have released odds on who they think will earn promotion this season, making Garry Monk’s Middlesbrough side the surprise favourites at 13/2, ahead of the Villans who come in at 7/1.

They are followed by Fulham and Norwich City who both come in at 9/1, ahead of Sheffield Wednesday at 10/1. Then come Derby County, Sunderland, Hull City and Wolverhampton Wanderers all at 14’s.

Somewhat surprisingly after last season’s impressive campaign, Leeds United are only listed as 10th favourites to win the Championship outright, coming in at 18/1.

One thing that the Championship is famous for, however, is its’ unpredictability, and it would take an extremely brave man to predict the outcome of this season’s final table, what with so many capable teams taking part.
