Queens Park Rangers have been listed as the favourites to sign Wigan Athletic striker Omar Bogle this summer with one bookmaker.

Bookmaker Sky Bet has listed Queens Park Rangers as the 5/2 favourites to sign Wigan Athletic striker Omar Bogle during the summer transfer window.

Bogle only joined the Latics during the January window. And while he made a fantastic start to life at the DW Stadium – he scored a brace on his full debut for the club to help them secure a 2-2 draw with Norwich City – he would score just once more in the following 12 appearances.

That goal came from the penalty spot in a defeat to Ian Holloway’s men in February, and Wigan were ultimately relegated from the Championship last season.

But while Wigan will be back in League One next year, Sky Bet seem to believe that there is a good chance that Bogle will be playing in the second tier during the coming campaign – with QPR being listed as the current favourites if any side will land the 25-year-old.

Sky Bet have listed the Hoops at 5/2, while Wigan’s League One rivals Oxford United are some way back as second-favourites at 7/1.

Though Bogle has struggled to find the back of the net at Wigan, his form at Grimsby previously may leave some QPR fans hoping that the odds are a sign that they are interested as they also struggled for goals last season – with just one player reaching double figures for the campaign.
