Newcastle moved to within a point of top spot of the Championship, following their 6-0 win over QPR.

Having seen Newcastle win five games on the bounce, most recently their 6-0 thrashing of QPR, bookmakers Ladbrokes are offering odds on the Magpies breaking their Championship record points tally.
During their last spell in the second tier, Newcastle won 102 points on their way to promotion, and Ladbrokes have given Rafael Benitez’s side a price of 9/2 to score 103 points or more.
Despite a dodgy start in which they lost their opening two games, Newcastle have found their feet at Championship level as they look to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Newcastle are largely expected to be one of the three teams that gain promotion to the top flight, and Ladbrokes are also offering on odds on how they might do next season in the Premier League.
For those who truly believe in the Rafalution, you can get odds of 500/1 for Newcastle to actually win the Premier League in the 2017/18 season, 10 times less than the 5000/1 odds Leicester had to win the title last season.

Ladbrokes are also offering odds on Newcastle and the Champions League. The Magpies are priced at 100/1 to compete in the group stage of Europe’s elite competition in 2018/19, meaning Newcastle would have to get promoted this season and then finish in the top four next year.
If just betting on Newcastle reaching the Champions League isn’t enough, Ladbrokes are also offering a price of 250/1 for Benitez to win the tournament as Newcastle manager, a trophy he won during his time at Liverpool.

While the odds on the Magpies winning the Premier League and Champions League may seem like a dream too far for Newcastle fans right now, the price of them achieving at least 103 points this season is certainly a tempting one.
