Bookmakers Ladbrokes make Tottenham Hotspur 3/1 favourites to sign West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini in a seemingly unlikely move.
Lanzini has been one of few positives in a disappointing campaign for the Hammers, which could still end in their relegation from the Premier League.
And that could be the reason the odds are so short, with Slaven Bilic’s side unlikely to keep hold of the seven-goal two-assist star if they go down.
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino is widely reported to be eyeing attacking midfielders this summer, with Ross Barkley, Demarai Gray and Wilfried Zaha all strongly linked.
And as a fellow Argentine, Pochettino is sure to be aware of Lanzini, not least as the 24-year-old has scored on each of his two trips to White Hart Lane so far.

Spurs have profited on both occasions West Ham have been relegated from the Premier League, bringing Scott Parker across London in 2011 and Jermain Defoe in 2004 – six months after the Hammers went down.
Would Lanzini be a good signing for Tottenham?
