Bookmakers Bet Victor have made Stoke City joint-second favourites to sign Leeds United’s Chris Wood this summer.

Striker Wood is enjoying the best campaign of his career to date, scoring 24 of Leeds’ 52 Championship goals thus far.

Inevitably, the New Zealander’s form has seen him linked to a string of Premier League clubs, although Stoke’s name is a new one.

The Potters look set to send Wilfried Bony back to Manchester City at the end of his loan, which could see them enter the market for a new centre-forward.

Leeds, though, are almost certain to be involved in this season’s Championship play-offs, and promotion to the Premier League would make Wood’s exit extremely unlikely.

Should the Whites remain in the second tier, however, they would perhaps have to brace themselves for offers for the 25-year-old, for whom they paid Leicester City £3 million in 2015.

Favourites Everton (4/1), and West Ham United (also 8/1), have both been linked with moves for Wood in recent months.

Will Wood be on his way out of Elland Road if Leeds don’t go up this season?
