The Celtic boss may have brought Markovic to Liverpool, but the chances of a Parkhead reunion look slim.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers brought Markovic to Anfield in a £21.25 million deal three years ago, as reported by Transfermarkt.

And with only Watford [7/4] above the Bhoys [3/1] on Skybet’s list of likely destinations, it would appear that a reunion at Parkhead could be on the cards.
But while Rodgers is thought to be the market for a new wide man this summer – with former Celtic loanee Patrick Roberts unlikely to return from Manchester City – Markovic may have already burned his bridges.
It is widely acknowledged that the Serbian has not enjoyed the best of spells at Liverpool and, in an interview with Sky Sports last year, he laid the blame for that at the feet of Rodgers.
“I had no problem with Brendan Rodgers and we had a bond until, for some reason that remains a mystery to me, he changed,” Markovic said.

“He stopped playing me and then at the start of the season he didn’t even include me in the squad, and nobody explained to me what was going on or what his plans were, so I decided to leave [on loan].”
Even if Rodgers is ready to forgive – he’s a religious man after all – The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool are looking for around £12 million for the 23-year-old, which could put him out of Celtic’s reach.
