Blackburn Rovers lead the race for the out-of-favour Everton midfielder, closely followed by Aston Villa and Sunderland.
Bookmakers Paddy Power have listed Aston Villa and Sunderland among the favourites to sign Everton’s Darron Gibson this month.
Gibson signed a new contract at Goodison Park only last summer, but has played just 24 minutes of senior football since then.

According to Paddy Power, Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers are the current favourites to relieve him of his Everton nightmare, with odds of 5/2, while Villa and Sunderland are priced at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.
Both clubs are thought to want to strengthen their midfields ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline, and though neither have been formally linked with a move for Gibson this window, the pair were rumoured to be interested a year ago.
Interestingly, the 29-year-old was signed for Everton by current Sunderland boss David Moyes and is likely to fit the Mackems’ budget should the Scot decide to renew his interest.

Villa, however, look set to conclude a deal for Barnsley captain Conor Hourihane instead – though Gibson could be considered as an alternative should something unexpected happen.
The Manchester United product lifted one Premier League title and two League Cups before quitting Old Trafford for Goodison Park five years ago.
Would Gibson be a good signing for Aston Villa/Sunderland?
