Robertson’s Hull deal expires in 2018 and a string of clubs including West Ham United and Newcastle United could be poised to pounce.

Bookmakers Bet Victor have included West Ham United and Newcastle United in the mix to sign Hull City defender Andrew Robertson this summer.

Robertson could be available for a discounted price, with Hull facing an immediate return to the Championship and the Scotland international’s deal expiring in 2018. And by the seems of things, he will have no shortage of suitors.

Liverpool are the current 2/1 favourites, with Burnley right behind them at 4/1, after both clubs were linked with moves for Robertson in recent months.

Neither West Ham or Newcastle have recently been credited with an interest, however, which makes intriguing their given odds of 5/1 and 6/1 respectively.

West Ham could be in the market for a left-back this summer, with first-choice Aaron Cresswell in and out of form and summer signing Arthur Masuaku failing to make a positive impression.

Newcastle, meanwhile, may be looking to upgrade their options should they return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The Magpies’ first-team squad already contains three recognised left-backs – Paul Dummett, Massadio Haidara and Achraf Lazaar.

Would Robertson be a better signing for West Ham United or Newcastle United?
