The Huddersfield Town striker has already been linked with one of Birmingham City’s Championship rivals.
Birmingham are keen to strengthen their front line in the final few weeks of the transfer window, but are so far yet to be formally linked with a move for Wells.

Nevertheless, Blues have seen their odds cut to 13/2 to land the Bermudan ahead of the deadline, behind only Reading (7/2) and Burnley (11/2).
Wells is reportedly valued at around £10 million by Huddersfield, having entered the final year of his contract at the Kirklees Stadium, while the recent captures of Laurent Depoitre and Steve Mounie have left the 27-year-old facing a battle to get back in the Terriers’ side when he returns from a spell on the sidelines.
Whether or not Birmingham would be willing to meet such demands remains to be seen, although with 45 goals in 144 appearances at Championship level he could be worth the outlay.
