Stoke City have announced the loan signing of Wilfried Bony from Manchester City.
Stoke City have today completed the signing of Wilfried Bony on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
Bony’s future at City has been a talking point all summer, with the Ivory Coast international being linked with a move away from the Ethiad.
The 27-year-old has failed to feature much in City’s squad, since joining from Swansea in January 2015 for £28 million. Bony has made just 15 league starts for City. He has not featured in the side this season under new boss Pep Guardiola.
Bony had a successful spell at Swansea, scoring 25 Premier League goals in 54 appearances for the Welsh side. However, since moving to City, Bony has failed to make an impact at the Ethiad. The striker has spent the majority of his time on the sidelines.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes will be hoping that Bony can get back to his scoring ways and provide goals for the Potters. Adding Bony to the squad will undoubtedly strengthen Hughes’ attacking options. The loan spell will give the Ivory Coast international much-needed game time and regular football – something that hasn’t been offered to him at City.
The arrival of Bony could mean that Joselu could be on his way out of the club, it is believed that the striker is not in Hughes’ first-team plans according to The Mirror.
