Leeds saw their own striker, Patrick Bamford, have his goal chalked off at Crystal Palace after VAR deemed that his arm was ‘offside’.
Given that the Whites fans understand what it feels like for a goal to be ruled out in such a manner, they were sympathetic towards Watkins.
Not only was his goal chalked off by an arm, but his arm was only in an ‘offside’ position because the opposition defender, in this case, Angelo Ogbonna, was grabbing him by the neck, so he should have been awarded a penalty.
All in all, like many supporters across the country, the Leeds faithful are sick and tired of the rules in the game and how they have been printed out.
