Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to impress this season.
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy spoke to reporters following his side’s defeat at Wolves yesterday, and shared what has impressed him most about Nuno Espirito’s Santo’s men this season, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Black Country outfit have been superb from the very first game of the season, and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, seven points clear of second placed Cardiff City, and perhaps more importantly, 10 points ahead of third placed Derby County.
The Tractor Boys tested them yesterday, however, and were by no means a pushover.

Wolves ran out 1-0 winners in the end, but Nuno’s men had to work extremely hard for their victory.
McCarthy spoke to reporters after the game, and highlighted the Black Country outfit’s ability to grind out narrow wins as the thing that has impressed him most about them, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“Wolves are a very good side. What impresses me about them most is that they do get 1-0 wins. It doesn’t have to be fours or fives all the time with the good players that they’ve got. They scrap it out as well. I think they will go up. They will probably spend in the window as well. It’s a bonkers squad compared to some.”
Wolves look nailed on for promotion back to the Premier League, and they continue their quest to do just that with a trip to the Den to take on Millwall on Boxing Day, and it would take a brave man to bet against them leaving London with all three points.
