Ben Foster has labelled the Leeds fans as ‘bonkers’ and lauded Elland Road as a ‘proper old school stadium’, as he posted on his own YouTube channel.
The experienced goalkeeper also added that Leeds United’s home turf is ‘a thing of beauty’.
Watford suffered a 1-0 defeat to Leeds over the weekend, with Foster playing in between the sticks.
After going winless in their first six Premier League games, Marcelo Bielsa’s side finally managed to pick up three points and play their part in the opposition manager being dismissed.
Xisco Munez was sacked by the Hornets, after the Leeds defeat, with Claudio Ranieri the man replacing him.
Nonetheless, in his Cycling GK blog, which was posted on Tuesday evening, this is what Foster had to say about Leeds, their fans and Elland Road.
“Elland Road, what a stadium,” said Foster. “The last time I played at Elland Road was 15 years ago. Yes, I am so old, it’s a joke. It didn’t go quite so well, for me, we lost 2-1. I got a red card and I gave a penalty away.
“A proper old school stadium – I am sure the Leeds fans are bonkers.
When he was out on the pitch he stated: “It’s raining cats and dogs, but you know what this is absolutely beautiful.
“Old school as you like. Proper English stadium. Look at this bad boy. The pitch is a thing of beauty.”

Given the unsteady start by the Yorkshire side, they are going to need their fans behind them if they are to climb up the table.
Whilst Leeds returned to the promised land last season after 15 years, this is the first time in nearly two decades fans are in their seats watching top-flight football.
One thing is for sure, when the bigger boys come to town, Leeds will give them a pretty hostile welcome and showcase what a real Elland Road atmosphere is really like.
