Chad Bronstein and Eric Bischoff, who run RAF Wrestling, weren’t too pleased with how things unfolded after the main event.
Even though Bischoff is known for his “controversy creates cash” phrase from his days in WCW, he called it “not a good situation at all” during a post-show press conference.
The trouble started when Khamzat Chimaev and Dillon Danis began kicking at each other after their match.
Chimaev had already secured a technical fall win in under 50 seconds. After that, Danis tried to lock in a chokehold and wouldn’t let go, which quickly escalated into both fighters’ teams getting involved on the mat.

Chad Bronstein and Eric Bischoff respond to the Khamzat Chimaev vs. Dillon Danis brawl
Khamzat Chimaev’s first bout back since losing his title to Sean Strickland took place at RAF Wrestling on Saturday night, where he faced off against Dillon Danis.
Their initial exchanges were more aggressive than any other bout on the card, with Chimaev ultimately scoring a quick tech fall. Danis opted to lock in a submission from his back to save face and refused to let go after the end of the match.
“I don’t think for what we do for wrestling that this is what we want,” Bronstein said. “We should stay on the stage.
“We talked to both of them prior to the match and said ‘keep all wrestling on the stage, there should not be anyone getting on that stage’. The show was amazing before we got to that issue and the wrestling world deserves wrestling which is what we’re here to provide, right?
“So to answer your question; no, we didn’t want that. We’re ten shows in and that has happened once, now twice. We have to make sure again any time one of these matches happens that security is even bigger so we don’t have that situation.
Bischoff added: “It was not a good situation at all. Listen, we’re committed to being family-friendly combat sports.”
“There’s such good will in the sport of wrestling across the board so that’s what we want to nurture and that’s what we want to grow.”
