Aston Villa may live to regret selling Jordan Veretout.

Aston Villa fans have seen so many players come and go in recent years, and one of them looks to be lined up for a stunning move in 2019.
Villa’s recent demise was largely started with financial cutbacks and subsequent struggles in the transfer market, bringing poor quality players to Villa Park.
The summer of 2015 saw Villa sell Christian Benteke, and the players they brought in ultimately contributed to their relegation in the 2015-16 season.
Scott Sinclair, Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott and and Jose Crespo were complete duds, but the likes of Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Ayew, Jordan Amavi and Adama Traore have all been successes elsewhere.
Another player who has thrived away from Villa Park is midfielder Jordan Veretout, who was bombed out of the club after just one season having arrived from Nantes in 2015.
The 25-year-old enjoyed little success with Villa before heading back to France on loan with Saint-Etienne, and his permanent move to Fiorentina last season has seen him become a star.

Now, Calciomercato report that Inter Milan – in this season’s Champions League – want to sign Veretout from Fiorentina, believing that he will be a perfect addition to their midfield.
From the Villa scrapheap to the Champions League with one of Italy’s biggest clubs would be a remarkable turnaround for Veretout, and with so many players thriving away from Villa Park, fans will be frustrated at how they were all allowed to leave.
