HITC Sport understands Bolton are eyeing a move for their former striker, currently on loan at Wigan from Cardiff.
Bolton Wanderers are lining up a move for Wigan loanee Adam Le Fondre from Cardiff City, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Le Fondre is currently on a season long-loan deal at Wigan after finding himself out of favour at Championship rivals Cardiff.

The 30-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Wigan and has made just three starts during his spell at the DW Stadium.
The former Reading hit-man has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Wigan, scoring one goal and they could be willing to cut short his loan to let him move on elsewhere.
Le Fondre has been deemed surplus to requirements at Cardiff, having last played for the Bluebirds in January 2015.
Adam Le Fondre celebrates for Bolton
Le Fondre had loan spells away from Cardiff at Bolton and Wolves prior to his move to Wigan on transfer deadline day in the summer and it looks like he could be on the move again.
The forward is still highly-regarded at Bolton from his successful six-month spell at the club in 2014/15 season.
Le Fondre scored eight goals in 17 Championship games for Bolton to finish as the club’s top scorer that season and they are keen to bring him back to the club.
Bolton boss Phil Parkinson sees Le Fondre as someone who could fire the goals to boost his side’s bid for promotion back to the Championship in the second half of the season.
