Celtic are doing well at the moment, and there is very chance that Ange Postecoglou’s side will have a successful season.

The Hoops have already won the Scottish League Cup this season.

Celtic are also seriously challenging bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers for the Scottish Premiership title.

However, there are some players who are struggling for playing time and who are unlikely to contribute to the club.

Below are two players we think Celtic should look to move on in 2022:

Vasilis Barkas

Vasilis Barkas has been at Celtic since 2020, and he has failed to really make a huge impact at Celtic Park.

We have seen bad performances from the goalkeeper, which is why Joe Hart is now the first choice between the posts for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Hart is a better goalkeeper than Barkas and is going strong despite being 34 years of age.

In our opinion, there is no future for Barkas at Celtic. The 27-year-old will clearly not want to waste time on the bench, and the Hoops should move him on.

Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo

Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo has not been a very good signing for Celtic. That the 26-year-old spent last season out on loan at İstanbul Başakşehir tells volume.

Bolingoli-Mbombo, who can operate as a left-back or left-winger, has made only two appearances in the Scottish Premiership so far this season.

Celtic manager Postecoglou clearly does not think that the Belgian is good enough to play regularly for his team.

In our opinion, Celtic should look to move on Bolingoli-Mbombo in 2022.
