The Celtic boss was pleased with the left-back’s improved performance.

Bolingoli was announced as Celtic’s third arrival of the summer in early July and Lennon has wasted no time in exposing him to competitive action, with the former Rapid Vienna man making appearances in all four European matches so far.
He’s had a mixed start.
Although clearly hoping to impress and imprint himself on games, it was his mistake that led to an FK Sarajevo goal at Celtic Park and he had to be substituted off last week against Kalju due to illness.
His display in Tuesday night’s match was much more like what fans will be looking for from the left-back though. He moved forward with purpose on the ball and was regularly available as an outlet for his teammates.
Looking much more composed and disciplined too, it was a good showing for the 24-year-old.
It was a performance that Lennon felt the need to point out, telling The Evening Times after the 2-0 win: “I was pleased with Bolingoli I thought he had a great game, he looked more assured, more powerful, stronger, like the player we thought we had.”
It’s an interesting comment that suggests the manager might not have been too impressed with his initial showings in a Celtic shirt before last night.
Bolingoli could well end up being a key and crucial player for the Hoops this season considering Kieran Tierney’s future is reported by The Daily Mail to be still up in the air.
The English transfer window closes next week but there’s still time for Arsenal to finally meet Celtic’s transfer demands.

There’s no other natural cover in the position, with only Jonny Hayes really available, so Bolingoli would suddenly become one of the main men at Celtic Park if Tierney left.
Important for Celtic then that he continues from where he left off in Estonia and produces consistent performances that give the Hoops a real presence on the left flank.
