Everton’s Yannick Bolasie has stepped up his return from injury.

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie made his return to action on Monday, coming on as a substitute for their Under-23’s in a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.
24 hours after the Everton first team drew 1-1 at Liverpool, the Under-23’s were in action at Holmes Park in Leicester, and the Toffees appeared to be on their way to a win as Fraser Hornby gave his side a first half lead.
However, Everton were undone by two late goals from defender Yohan Benalouane, with the Foxes coming from behind to claim a late victory.
The game won’t be remembered for any of that though, as Everton winger Yannick Bolasie made his long-awaited return from injury as a second half substitute, grabbing 30 minutes of action.
Bolasie, 28, suffered knee ligament damage against Manchester United in December of last year, and has finally started stepping up his return after more than a year out of action.
It will be a little while before Bolasie is truly back to full speed, but Everton desperately need his pace, and the wide man took to Twitter on Monday evening to react after stepping back onto the pitch.
Bolasie posted a photo of himself from the game, admitting he was happy to be out on the pitch before suggesting that the hard work is only just starting as he attempts to return to the first team.
Former Everton hero Kevin Campbell also took to Twitter to send a message to Bolasie, backing him to still be a massive player for the club once he is healthy and strong after so long out of action.
