Yannick Bolasie has posted a six-word Tweet on Everton’s decision to hand Duncan Ferguson the caretaker reigns for the “upcoming games”. Ferguson is back in, after Rafa Benitez’s sacking, and Bolasie has posted on Twitter.
Benitez saw his side suffer nine defeats in their last 12 Premier League matches and enough was enough for Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright. Plenty of managerial targets have been linked since Benitez’s exit.
The likes of Roberto Martinez, Frank Lampard, Graham Potter, Vitor Pereira, Nuno Espirito Santo and Jose Mourinho have all been touted as possible targets. For now, Ferguson remains in the hotseat.
Indeed, the Everton icon might himself have a chance of nabbing the job on a permanent basis – having starred in his caretaker role back in December 2019. Clearly, ex-Everton man Bolasie is a fan, posting on Twitter.

The passion to play for the Merseyside club. He will work them hard and ensure that every player is at least putting in their all. With Dom Calvert-Lewin back from injury, Ferguson is taking over at a decent time.
He also has a decent run of games coming up. The next four Premier League matches are against Aston Villa, Newcastle, Leeds and Southampton – and Everton are more than capable of picking up 12 points.
But Bolasie is right, while Ferguson might lack the tactical know how of Benitez – you would expect him to bring back the necessary determination, aggression and honour to play for the club that might just boost the Toffees.
