Stokes resurfaced last week, having left Leeds United at the start of the month.

Former Leeds United striker Eoghan Stokes already has ambitions to return to the United Kingdom, his new manager Keith Long has suggested via the Irish Sun.
Stokes left Leeds at the start of the month and resurfaced at Bohemians last week – a move which saw him return to his native Ireland six years after leaving for Yorkshire.
Even the most ardent Bohs fan will admit that signing for their club – who are part-time and play at a venue around five times smaller in terms of capacity than that of the Whites – is a step backwards for the 21-year-old.
According to Long, however, Stokes is hoping that a spell in Dublin can catalyse a move to bigger and better things on the other side of the Irish Sea.
“We’re excited about what he’ll bring to the team,” said the Bohemians boss. “It’s something different and he’s shown with his decision to come to Bohs that it’s a football decision, that it’s not just about full-time football, resources, money or anything like that.
“It’s a football decision for him to come to the club. Hopefully on the back of that he can reach his ambitions.
“He hasn’t made it for any other reason. He wants to come here, play, prove himself and hopefully show the hunger and desire to go back to the UK if that’s what he wants to do.”

Stokes, who only made one competitive appearance for Leeds, can take heart from players such as Keith Fahey, Richie Towell and Sean Maguire, whose League of Ireland success after failed spells in English and Scottish football led to second chances in the UK.
