Everton are interested in Frank Fabra.
Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has confirmed Everton have held talks with the club over full-back Frank Fabra.
The Colombian international has been touted as a summer transfer target for the Toffees and Angelici says no offers have yet been received.
He did not deny they would consider a move if the offer is right.
Colombian outlet LA FM report Angelici told Argentine channel TyC Sports: “For Fabra we are waiting for a proposal in writing.
“Let’s prioritise sports. If the offer is good for the club and the player wants to leave, it will be analysed.
“There were meetings for Fabra with Everton. If a formal offer arrives, in writing, we will analyse it. Today, the priority is the sport.”
The ball appears to be in Everton’s court, to pay up or walk away from a potential deal for the 27-year-old.
Argentine outlet Extra yesterday reported Boca were looking for £8.75 million for Fabra’s services, rather than the previously touted figure of £4.5 million.
The same report claimed a mystery English club are also showing interest in the left-back.
Fabra, 27, is expected to feature at the World Cup for Colombia this summer in Russia and would not have difficulty obtaining a work permit.
