Swansea City manager Bob Bradley has warned his side that they cannot afford to gift any chances to Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on Saturday, in quotes published on the Swans website.
Bradley’s side go into the clash at White Hart Lane on the back of having secured their first win under thew American boss in the most dramatic of fashions with last weekend’s stunning 5-4 win over Crystal Palace.
That was the Swans’ first league win since the opening day of the season, but they are now faced with the unenviable task of heading to Spurs looking for points to continue the momentum.
There they will come up against a side who are stuttering somewhat of late, losing their first league game of the season to Chelsea last weekend and having won only one of their last 10 in all competitions over the last two months.
However, Spurs will undoubtedly be heavy favourites, and are buoyed by the firepower of Kane, who has scored four goals in four games since returning from a lengthy injury absence last month.
Bradley has warned his players that they cannot afford any slip-ups when it comes to facing the England man, as he will make them pay for any mistakes.
Bradley said, as reported by the Swansea official website: “He is a very good striker. Most of all he is a terrific finisher – give him any chance and he has a really solid record of hitting the target and scoring goals.
“Everybody has to concentrate in every moment against a player like him because he will pounce on the slightest slip.”
Kane has a tremendous record for Tottenham since the start of the 2014-15 season, scoring 65 goals in 111 competitive games in that period.
He will be looking to celebrate signing a new Spurs deal this week by getting on the scoresheet once again on Saturday.
