The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has shared how people at Arsenal view Jurrien Timber.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has noted how Timber is viewed by his Arsenal teammates and bosses.

So, what is being reported about Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber?

Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, Jurrien Timber is on the sidelines at the moment.

The defender joined Arsenal from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal paid Ajax an initial transfer fee of £34 million.

Much is/was expected of Timber, but he is injured now.

Timber suffered a serious knee injury in Arsenal’s opening Premier League game of the season against Nottingham Forest.

The defender started at left-back in that match at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

There is speculation that Timber will be back in action by March 2024.

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has noted what people at Arsenal think about Timber.

Ornstein told The Athletic: “The Jurrien Timber injury was a huge setback.

“He had blown away staff and team-mates, and it’s a massive loss.”

Jurrien Timber will be an Arsenal star

In my opinion, Jurrien Timber will be a star for Arsenal in the coming years.

Timber is only 22 and has a bright future.

I believe that the Netherlands international is going to be a massive player for Arsenal.

We have seen the likes of Martin Odegaard and William Saliba improve and develop under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

In my view, Timber would follow a similar trajectory.

The defender scored two goals and gave two assists in 34 Eredivisie matches for Ajax last season.

Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title and also progress into the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League.
