According to Turkish-Football, Galatasaray have entered the race to sign Chievo Verona playmaker Samuel Bastien this summer, dealing a blow to West Ham and Everton’s hopes of signing the 21-year-old.

Bastien joined the Italian outfit from Anderlecht in the summer of 2016, and has gone on to really impress for the Serie A outfit.

The Belgium under-21 international’s cool and composed performances in the middle of the park have caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs, with Premier League duo West Ham and Everton keen on signing him, according to French media outlet L’Equipe.

Turkish-Football claims that the Hammers and the Toffees will face stringent competition from Galatasaray for the Belgian this summer, however.

A central midfielder by trade, Bastien possesses wonderful technical ability, and has the potential to go on and become a real star.

The lure of the Premier League would surely be enough to hand West Ham and Everton the advantage over Gala in the race for the Chievo ace’s signature, but much will depend on which club can offer him the opportunity of regular first-team action.

And that is where the Turkish giants might just hold the advantage over the Premier League pair.
