Crystal Palace have endured a major blow to their hopes of climbing the Premier League table with the news that season-long loan signing Loic Remy has been ruled out for up to two-months with a thigh injury, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The 31-capped France international made the temporary move to Selhurst Park at the end of August, and is yet to feature for the Eagles.

The Daily Mail report that Remy injured his thigh during a recent training session with Palace, and has been ruled out until November.

When given the opportunity to play regularly, Remy has proven himself to be a consistent goalscorer. During spells at Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers combined, he managed to score 20 goals in 42 league outings.

Alan Pardew would have been looking to link up Remy with Palace’s other new signing Christian Benteke in what would have been a dangerous looking two-pronged attack.

Eagles fans will have to wait a little while longer to see Remy in action, however, after the disappointing news regarding his injury was released today.
