West Ham United have been linked with a keen interest in appointing former Paris Saint Germain boss Unai Emery as David Moyes’ replacement.

According to reports in the likes of The Sun, former PSG and Sevilla boss Unai Emery is a top target for West Ham after David Moyes’ departure was confirmed on the club’s official website.
Emery is the latest name to emerge high up in the betting for the Hammers job after the East Londoners were also linked with fellow Spaniard Rafa Benitez, Portuguese Paulo Fonseca and Chilean Manuel Pellegrini.
It is not the first time West Ham have been interested in Emery. Co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold reportedly wanted him to replace Sam Allardyce back in 2015 but he turned them down and Slaven Bilic was eventually appointed.
But what can West Ham fans expect if they do manage to lure Emery to the London Stadium?
Daily blood tests and team meals are just two of the things West Ham United players can expect should Unai Emery be named the club’s new manager.

The lid was lifted on the revered manager by the Sunday Telegraph’s football correspondent Jason Burt when the Hammers were first linked with Emery.
In what was a rather bizarre – but very typically West Ham – interview on his potential appointment Burt ran the rule over the Spaniard in an article on West Ham’s official website which has since been deleted.
Burt revealed that daily blood tests for players, team bonding meals and a fierce sense of loyalty will be some of the things he brings to the club.
“He is an intense and very organised coach,” Burt said.
“He has a good record of improving players and is obsessed with video planning.
“The players will have a blood test every morning to check on their hydration and oxygen levels. He insists that the players all eat together as a group before they leave the training ground. The players are very loyal to him.”

Burt did concede the language barrier could cause problems for the Spaniard but insists he is an intelligent man who would ‘learn very quickly’ – and reports since indicate Emery has had English lessons.
He added: “For me Emery is an interesting choice and is highly rated. He will be able to get the balance right of playing in the Europa League and then back to the Premier League.”
Emery has a superb CV, the highlight of which is lifting three consecutive Europa League titles with Sevilla.
Of course since then he has managed one of the world’s super powers PSG, where he was in charge of the two most expensive footballers of all-time in Neymar and Kylian M’Bappe.

Emery had to put up with a lot during his time in Paris, from Neymar’s antics and the fallout between him and Edison Cavani to huge expectations.
He failed to win the Champions League so coveted by PSG’s mega rich owners but did lift four of the five trophies available to him in France.
Suffice to say his signature would be something of a coup for West Ham if they can succeed where they failed in 2015 to persuade him to join the club.
