The former Manchester United star was shocked to see Arsenal and Brazil international forward Martinelli get the better of Liverpool winger Luis Diaz in a race for the ball in the sixth minute of the Premier League game in North London today.
The 21-year-old forward put Arsenal in the lead in the very first minute.

Rising star for the Gunners
In our view, Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is one of the best young players in the world and has been superb for the Gunners.
Since recovering from his injury and getting regular time for Mikel Arteta’s side, the 21-year-old has taken his game to another level.
The Brazilian has established himself as a regular in the Arsenal starting lineup now and is playing well on the left flank.
Martinelli is scoring goals and creating chances, and the Arsenal youngster is also tracking back and is helping out defensively.
Arsenal have a real gem in Martinelli.
