Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Football London revealed that Kieran Tierney had agreed a new long-term contract.
What’s the story?
Well, the 24-year-old has verbally agreed a new five-year contract with the Gunners, in what is great news for the north Londoners.
Tierney is extremely happy at the Emirates Stadium, and will sign his new contract in the coming days.
According to Football London, Edu will now present a proposed contract to the Arsenal board, which will then be signed off.
Despite a few injury problems, Tierney made 38 appearances in all competitions last season.
The 21-cap Scotland international scored two goals and provided five assists, proving to be a shining light in an otherwise dismal season.
Tierney only arrived at Arsenal in 2019 in a £25 million move from Celtic, where he penned a five-year deal.

Just two years later, he’s clearly happy enough in north London to extend his time with Arsenal by a significant margin.
Football London add that Arsenal are still in the market for another left-back this summer.
However, any new arrival in that department will only be a younger option, who will act as an understudy to Tierney.
The future is bright

It was hardly as if the Scotsman’s contract situation was a matter of urgency for Arsenal, but this is still fantastic news for the club regardless.
With Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba, Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka, Folarin Balogun and Miguel Azeez in Arteta’s squad, Arsenal have a great spine for the future.
Let’s see how the Arsenal fans on Twitter reacted to Football London‘s report…
