Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter after their former player, Tom Carroll joined Queens Park Rangers for the second time in his career.

The former Aston Villa midfielder had been without a club ever since his release from Swansea City and it seems he has now found a familiar home once again.

During his days as an up and coming Spurs talent, the now-28-year-old was sent out on loan to QPR, but this current move is now permanent.

Sections of Spurs fans have wished him good luck in his new adventure, whilst others have remembered about the talents he had on the ball when he was coming through in North London.

It has been a tough couple of seasons for the technically-gifted midfielder, who has had to deal with injuries and setbacks.

Whilst at Swansea, he moved to Aston Villa on loan in January 2018, but he only featured for the club twice because of injury, as they went on to earn promotion to the Premier League – it could have been a lot different for the Watford-born player.

Now, he will link up with some familiar faces at QPR, with Luke Amos, another Spurs academy graduate, already at the club.

Whilst Carroll’s biggest problem during his career has been his lack of height and presence, he has always been tidy on the ball and still has the capabilities to control the game.

If he can do that for Mark Warburton then his young and vibrant side will be hoping to make a surprise push for the play-offs this term.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Carroll joining up with QPR:
