Nikola Vlasic missed Everton’s 2-0 defeat at Leicester on Sunday afternoon.

Blanka Vlasic – the sister of Nikola Vlasic – has taken to Twitter to claim that the Everton forward is not injured but remains happy at Goodison Park after being surprisingly omitted from the squad to face Leicester on Sunday.
The Toffees made headlines over the summer by snapping up the likes of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Davy Klaassen, but they also made one under-the-radar move by signing Vlasic.
Vlasic, 20, had impressed for Hajduk Split in his native Croatia last season before featuring against Everton in the Europa League in August, prompting the Toffees to swoop and secure his signature.

Whilst seen as one for the future, Vlasic has already made eight first-team appearances for Everton, and opened his goalscoring account in the 2-2 Europa League draw with Apollon Limassol last month.
In what has been a miserable start to the season, Vlasic has been a rare bright spot for Everton fans, but they were left stunned on Sunday afternoon when he was left out of David Unsworth’s squad to face Leicester City.
There were suggestions that Vlasic was injured or maybe even rested ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash against Lyon, but those claims have been played down Vlasic’s sister, Blanka.

Blanka, a world champion high jumper, has taken to Twitter over the last 24 hours to put the matter to bed, announcing that her brother is not injured and is available for selection, he was just dropped by Unsworth.
Blanka was also asked whether Vlasic is happy at Goodison Park, and she responded by confirming that he certainly is – though the Everton man would surely be happier if he was picked for Sunday’s game.
