Southampton-owned Blackburn Rovers midfielder Harrison Reed has criticised Aston Villa star Jack Grealish in The Lancashire Telegraph.

Reed, who joined Blackburn on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Southampton in the summer transfer window, came up against Grealish during Rovers’ Championship match against Villa at Ewood Park this past Saturday.

The 23-year-old – who earns £12,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – was adjudged to have fouled Grealish in the final minutes of the match.

Villa earned a free kick, and Conor Hourihane scored from it to make it 1-1 and earn Steve Bruce’s side a draw.

Reed has criticised the 23-year-old Villa star, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.

“Grealish was clever at buying the foul and that resulted in them getting the equaliser which for us was disappointing,” Reed told The Lancashire Telegraph about Grealish. “He saw me coming, took the contact and went down. I felt he went down easily but obviously the referee gave it.”
