The Northern Ireland midfielder has made 168 appearances for Rovers in all competitions since his 2013 move from Hull.

Blackburn Rovers are not having too bad a time heading into 2019, having been promoted from League One last season and currently sitting in the top half of the Championship table, just six points off the playoffs.
The former Premier League champions have now received another big boost in the form of midfielder Corry Evans penning a new contract at Ewood Park which will take him until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Evans, a Northern Ireland international, joined Rovers from Hull City in August 2013 – making him the club’s most senior first-team player – and has made 168 appearances for the Lancastrians in all competitions, including 17 this season under Tony Mowbray.
The 28-year-old, capped 50 times for his nation (Transfermarkt), played a key role in last season’s promotion-winning campaign as he linked up superbly alongside Richie Smallwood in midfield.
Evans is the latest in a line of key Blackburn players to commit to the club in the past few weeks, with captain Charlie Mulgrew and midfielder Elliott Bennett signing new deals in November.
Following the announcement on the official Rovers website, some of the club’s fans took to Twitter to express their delight at one of their key men choosing to extend their time at Ewood:
