Armstrong scored again for Blackburn last night, with the youngster making a wonderful start to life at Ewood Park.
Armstrong helped Blackburn to a 2-0 victory over Bury, and the Newcastle youngster drew a great deal of praise.
Armstrong’s excellent form has helped Blackburn climb to the top of the League One table, with Tony Mowbray’s side going from strength to strength.
Since joining from Newcastle, Armstrong has netted four goals in three appearances for his new club, and looks to have a key role to play over the remainder of the season.
Whether Blackburn would have a chance of signing Armstrong permanently from Newcastle remains to be seen.
Armstrong is highly regarded at St. James’ Park, but he has made little impact at his parent club lately, and has been sent out on a series of loan spells.
Armstrong will next be in action for Blackburn when they take on Walsall.
